2.4377 is a nickel-copper alloy filler metal. The 2.4377 welding rod has good corrosion resistance against a wide range of corrosive media such as seawater, alkaline saline solutions, non-oxidizing mineral acids and salt. It is often used in offshore technology, shipbuilding and the chemical industry. The 2.4377 filler metal is suitable for operating temperatures up to +425°C.
The 2.4377 filler metal is suitable for joint and build-up welding on nickel-copper alloys as well as on similar plating and connections of copper and copper alloys with steel (black-red connections). Important base materials are:
2.4360 (NiCu30Fe);
2.4375 (NiCu30Al);
Monel R405, Monel Alloy K500.
