Description:
1.4551 is a filler metal made from stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel steel. The steel has a higher silicon content (0.8%) and thus delivers excellent welding results. In addition, the 1.4551 welding wire has very good welding and flow properties and can be used for welding stabilized chromium-nickel steels. The plus points of the 1.4551 are max. operating temperatures of + 400 °C, scaling resistance up to + 800 °C and cold toughness down to -196 °C.
The 1.4551 welding wire is suitable for joint welding on stainless and heat-resistant steels as well as on stabilized CrNi steels. The most important base materials are:
1.4024;
1.4301, 1.4303, 1.4306, 1.4308, 1.4309, 1.4310, 1.4312, 1.4319;
1.4425;
1.4541, 1.4550, 1.4552.
The 1.4551 welding wire has the following features:
highly alloyed;
higher silicon content for excellent welding properties;
very good welding and flow properties;
can be used up to + 400 °C;
