Pocket Door Jamb Bolt
Solid brass pocket door bolt. Permits emergency release of bolt from outside the door. Spring activated design allows feather-touch action. Brass grommet supplied to cap release hole, protecting the door’s finish. The pocket door bolt mounts on the face of a pocket door after it is in the closed position at the point where it enters into the pocket. See picture and illustration for a visual explanation. When pushed in, the bottom half emerges, blocks the door from entering into the pocket and prevents the door from sliding open. A strike is provided to protect the jamb where the bolt rises into place and bolts the door in the closed position. Emergency release is accomplished by drilling a small hole in the door in line with the push button on the opposite side. A small screwdriver can be inserted into the hole to move the push button to disengage the bolt. Simple, but effective! We also have other pocket door locks & hardware in our eBay store.
