Description:
2.4649 is a filler metal made from nickel-chromium-iron alloy. The 2.4649 welding wire has high oxidation resistance, excellent high-temperature strength and very good corrosion resistance in carburizing media. The 2.4649 filler metal is suitable for operating temperatures up to 1200°C and is therefore primarily used in the high-temperature range.
The 2.4649 filler metal is suitable for joint welding on identical and similar high-heat-resistant and high-temperature-resistant nickel-based alloys as well as on cast alloys with a high nickel content. Important base materials are:
2.4633 (Alloy 602CA), 2.4649
2.4851 (NiCr23Fe)
The following features characterize the 2.4649 welding wire:
high resistance to oxidation;
excellent high temperature strength;
very good corrosion resistance to carburization;
suitable for operating temperatures up to 1200°C.
