Description:
2.4806 is a filler metal made of nickel-chromium-iron alloy with an increased niobium content (2.5%) and a manganese content of 3%. The 2.4806 welding wire is particularly suitable for dissimilar joints between ferritic carbon-manganese and austenitic chromium-nickel steels. The filler metal is characterized by high resistance to stress cracking and intergranular corrosion. 2.4806 has good toughness properties down to -196°C and max. operating temperatures up to +900°C.
The 2.4806 filler metal is suitable for joint welding on NiCrFe alloys, heat-resistant austenitic steels, cold-resistant steels, black-and-white joints with operating temperatures >300°C and dissimilar materials, eg copper with ferrous materials. The most important base materials are:
